Friday, July 19, 2024 APT has regained control of the MS Caledonian Sky and disclosed that starting in 2025, the ship will be navigating the Mediterranean waters under the Travelmarvel brand. This marks the ship’s debut in the Mediterranean following a brief operational period in Fiji. Previously, the MS Caledonian Sky had been a fixture in the Kimberley region of Western Australia under APT’s banner.

Following that tenure, Captain Cook Cruises Fiji took over the vessel, using it to offer premium cruises around Fiji’s lesser-known outer islands. However, after only eight months serving in Fiji, it was announced in November 2024 that the vessel would be leaving the Captain Cook Cruises Fiji fleet. The last voyage exploring the Lau islands is scheduled for 26 October 2024.

From April to October 2025, the MS Caledonian Sky will operate under Travelmarvel, offering 13 distinct itineraries. The ship accommodates 100 passengers and is staffed by a 70-person crew, providing one of the most favorable staff-to-passenger ratios in the European cruising sector as noted by APT. The upcoming itineraries will feature several enticing journeys, including an 8-day tour of the Greek Islands starting from Athens, priced at $4,995 per person.

There are also 15-day journeys exploring Mediterranean Treasures from Venice to Istanbul, and Adriatic & Aegean Delights stretching from Venice to Athens, each starting at $9,995..
