As of the June 2024 quarter, the Apple Watch Series 9, launched in September 2023 alongside the iPhone 15 series, has emerged as the most favored model, securing 43% of total Apple Watch sales in the United States. This positions it as the leading choice among consumers. Following closely is the Series 8, which, although no longer sold directly by Apple, remains available through various retailers, capturing a 19% market share.

Together, these two models represented nearly two-thirds of all Apple Watch sales during the specified period. The Apple Watch Ultra and Ultra 2, positioned as the premium offerings within the product range, accounted for 20% of overall sales. Although these models boast sophisticated features and a luxury market stance, their market share remains limited when compared to the high-end versions of other Apple devices, such as the iPhone and iPad.

For example, the premium models in these categories generally represent a quarter or more of total sales. According to the CIRP report, the Ultra 2 achieved a marginally greater market share than its predecessor, the original Ultra, in the quarter ending June 2024. The Apple Watch SE captured a 12% share of the market.

This model remains appealing to consumers seeking a more budget-friendly option within the Apple Watch lineup; however, its market presence is considerably less than that of the premium models. Galaxy Watch Ultra or Apple Watch Ultra? pic.twitter.
