Jane's Addiction cancels its tour after onstage concert fracas BOSTON (AP) — The alternative rock band Jane’s Addiction has scuttled its latest tour following an onstage scuffle between lead singer Perry Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro. In a statement, the bands says it made the “difficult decision to take some time away as a group.” The move comes after videos captured Farrell lunging at Navarro at a Friday concert in Boston.

The band’s “Imminent Redemption” tour started in early August and was to end on Oct. 16 at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles. The band is known for edgy, punk-inspired hits “Been Caught Stealing” and “Mountain Song.

Danielle Hazel filed a complaint Monday with the city’s Commission on Human Rights seeking an end to the discriminatory requirements.

She said at a press conference in Central Park that she’s always dreamed of entering the competitions but was devastated to learn that she’s no longer eligible because she has a 6-year-old son. Spokespersons for the pageant organizations didn’t immediately comment. The human rights commission said it does not comment on open investigations.

The kid-friendly McDonald’s character made another appearance at the ballpark Monday, when the New York Mets unveiled a commemorative purple seat in section 302 to honor “his special connection to Mets fans.

It took home prizes including Outstanding Drama Series, as star and co-producer Hiroyuki Sanada became the first Japanese actor to win the Emmy for best lead actor in a dramatic series. Co-star Anna Sawai won best actress in a dramatic series, also a first for Japan.

The court upheld a previous decision Monday. Favre had sued Sharpe over criticizing comments made in 2022 on a Fox Sports show. The comments were about a Mississippi welfare scandal involving millions of dollars.

Mississippi State Auditor Shad White said Favre improperly received $1.1 million in speaking fees. Favre was not charged and paid back $1.

Detroit police provided an update Monday. A fight broke out late Sunday afternoon at Eastern Market, an open-air gathering spot.

The Lions had just lost to Tampa Bay nearby at Ford Field, 20-16. Police Chief James White says tailgating, drinking and guns “don't mix.” The victims were described as Detroit men, one in his 40s and another in his 20s.

A suspect from Oak Park was in custody. A boy was trapped between boulders for 9 hours until crews could free him CONCORD, N.H.

(AP) — A New Hampshire fire chief says rescuers freed an 11-year-old boy who slipped between two boulders near his school and was trapped for more than nine hours. The boy's school says he was pried out of the boulders in Windsor shortly after 3 a.m.

Monday, taken to a hospital for evaluation, and released. The boulders are on the campus of the Wediko School, a residential treatment center for boys. The Hillsborough fire chief said firefighters used ropes and a lubricant to rescue the child.
