The picture taken by Blue Kingdom Whale and Wildlife Tours naturalist Brooke Casanova captured the moment the whale pushed out the seal from its mouth. The humpback had just lunged at a school of fish presumably also being pursued by the seal. Authorities say Robert Cole Parmalee posted statements on TikTok saying he loved Bueckers and wanted to marry her. Police also say some of Parmalee's social media posts and emails to UConn officials included threatening comments. Zimbabwe said Monday it would allow the killing of 200 elephants so that their meat can be distributed among needy communities, while in Namibia the killing of more than 700 wild animals is under way as part of a plan announced three weeks ago. Wildlife officials in Zimbabwe say some residents will be given permits to hunt the elephants and the rest will be killed by officials. The animals will be taken from an area where their population has become unsustainable.

has seen an increase in the number of a certain kind of derailment related to the forces created when railcars push and pull against each other as freight trains have gotten longer. The National Academies of Sciences on Tuesday released a long-awaited report. It says that regulators, Congress and the industry should reexamine the risks associated with long trains and make sure they are addressed.
The report said railroads must take special care in the way they assemble long trains. That's especially the case with trains that have a mix of different types of cars. Collaborators say Houston’s 1994 performance has been turned into a fully-remastered theatrical release, called “The Concert for a New South Africa (Durban).” Collaborators include Houston’s estate, Sony Music Entertainment and Trafalgar Releasing. The limited theatrical screening will debut Oct.
23 and feature the late singer’s never-before-released show from Durban. The project will come ahead of a new live album “The Concert for a New South Africa (Durban),” which will be released Nov. 8.
