Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap never shies away from sharing his opinions and opening up about his experiences during media interaction. Having recently announced his decision to quit the Bollywood industry, as it has become toxic, he heaped praises on John Abraham for his performance in the upcoming political thriller The Diplomat. The movie is based on a true story, Uzma Ahmed’s life.
Impressed by his acting in the film, Kashyap expressed how he had contacted John to convey his wishes. While talking to the 52-year-old actor, he told him, “after a long time I am seeing you being a very good actor.
” Kashyap went on to add, “He is not doing unnecessary action or herogiri in the film. He is solely playing a character.” The filmmaker even lauded director Shivam Nair for making an engaging film.
