Article content Q This porringer was given to my mother at the time of her baptism (Nov. 24, 1912) by her godmother, who lived in Winnipeg. The bottom is marked “Dingwall Winnipeg” and hallmarks on the side are a “VB” and the top half of a “D,” an anchor, a lion and an “I.

” The bowl has a diameter of 10 cm (4 inches). It does show signs of being used. Can you enlighten me as to its origins, function and possible present-day value? Thanks.
