Wednesday, October 2, 2024 The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority is excited to announce the launch of the second edition of the Antigua and Barbuda Art Week (ABAW) Schools Art Competition. Open to students from across the twin-island nation, the competition runs from September 17 to November 15, 2024. Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, this edition promises to inspire and showcase the incredible artistic talent of young students from both primary and secondary schools.
“Made in Antigua and Barbuda” – A Celebration of National Identity This year’s competition introduces an inspiring new theme- “Made in Antigua and Barbuda”- designed to encourage young artists to reflect on the culture, lifestyle, landscapes, innovations, and people of the twin islands. Participants will have the opportunity to express their creativity through various mediums such as painting, drawing, mixed media, and collage. Materials like quick-drying paint, watercolor/acrylic paint, crayon pencils, wax crayons, and more are all welcome in their presentations.
