The Los Angeles Lakers remained unblemished to start the season after surviving the Sacramento Kings, 131-127, at Crypto.com Arena on Saturday. The Lakers fended off the Kings, who had a fiery comeback in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter, to improve to 3-0.

The last time they won their first three games was during the 2010-11 season. The superstar duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis once again spearheaded the Purple and Gold. James had a triple-double of 32 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists, while Davis tallied 31 points, nine rebounds, three steals and two blocks.



They also made timely baskets in the final period to stymie the Kings' fightback attempt. After the game, Davis credited their resilience in their first three assignments and gave a shoutout to his legendary running mate.
