Sunday, September 15, 2024 Antalya is experiencing a notable rise in German tourist reservations for September and October, driven by lower travel costs, positioning the region for a robust autumn season. Over 1 million German visitors are anticipated during this period, solidifying Germany as Antalya’s second-largest tourism market. 2023 has seen exceptional growth in German tourism to Antalya, contributing to a substantial boost in autumn bookings.

Experts remain confident about a strong November, despite the potential impact of the recent bankruptcy of Germany’s third-largest tour operator, FTI Group. Projections still estimate over 400,000 German tourists in November, continuing last year’s impressive trend. Hamit Kuk, General Manager of Passo Turizm and Chief Advisor to the Turkish Travel Agencies Association (TURSAB), echoed the positive outlook, emphasizing Germany’s dominance in autumn demand.

Looking beyond November, expectations remain high for the off-season. More than 1.5 million tourists are forecasted to visit Antalya between November and March, reinforcing the importance of year-round travel for the city.

As winter approaches, hotel rates are expected to become even more appealing, further boosting off-season tourism. Antalya’s tourism sector, driven by competitive pricing and strong German interest, is poised for continued success as it heads into the winter months..
