SHREVEPORT, La. -- For the second time in as many weeks, a fire has destroyed a vacant apartment building at The Jolie. Shreveport firefighters responded just after 11:30 a.

As soon as that fire was extinguished, the city's Public Works Department moved in with an excavator to demolish the structure. It's unknown if the same will happen to the building involved in today's fire. This marks the fifth fire at the complex since it was evacuated earlier this year when the utilities were disconnected.

There are no working fire hydrants on the property since it's supposed to be closed..
