Marietta’s Main Street will be buzzing with excitement this Saturday night, October 26, as the Love County Frontier Days planning group brings back the highly anticipated annual Halloween Bash. The event will take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

along the 300 and 400 blocks of West Main Street. “We are very excited,” said organizer Nic McMillin. “The number of fire departments, law enforcement, businesses, and community organizations interested in participating is bigger than ever.



” Originally launched 15 years ago by the City of Marietta and the Marietta Lions Club, the Halloween Bash continues to grow. This year’s festivities will include a trunk-or-treat, fun games, and over 1,200 free hot dogs for attendees. Several local organizations, law enforcement agencies, and community groups will be on hand to distribute candy to eager youngsters.

“This event is one of the best of the year,” said Marietta Police Chief Brett Harris. “We all look forward to seeing the kids have a safer place to celebrate Halloween.” In addition to first responders, many local businesses and churches are also set to join, offering games, booths, and activities.

While some booths may serve as fundraisers, the entire event aims to remain affordable for families with young children. To accommodate the growing number of attendees, changes have been made to improve traffic flow. However, the popular costume contest, held in previous years, will not take place.
