Raj Shekhar is known for penning the lyrics of hit songs in films such as ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, ‘Tumbbad’, ‘Veere Di Wedding’, ‘ ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, ‘Animal, and more recently in ‘Deva’.
While speaking during the session ‘Words That Sing’ at the 7th edition of the Indian Screenwriters Conference (ISC), Raj Shekhar talked about the importance of the industry coming together to ensure writers are given due credit. He said that we are in a transition phase as a society, and while we are making mistakes, we are also slowly figuring out where we are going wrong. “Out of 100 songs, 28-30 of mine are not credited to me.
