Ravat had gone there after she saw work going on to open up a stormwater drain. She had been raising this issue for a long time. When some societies in the area got waterlogged, it was decided to remove the slab.

The BJP councillors initially raised the issue of Congress councillor Pushpa Waghela and another Congress worker taking credit on social media for the work to open the storm water drain.
