Angie Mead King 's sports car caught fire while traversing the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) on Thursday. King took to Instagram to share a footage of her half-burnt Acura NSX which was parked at the side of the highway near Southwoods. "This is such a crazy experience.
The car is gone," said the entrepreneur. In a follow-up Instagram live, King shared that she has to take care of towing the car. "Thanks for checking, I'm alive," she said.
"The car is dead, literally gone. Caught on fire after the Exit." "It's gone, no words," she continued.
King said a "good Samaritan" stopped by to pick her up on the road, as personnel from the SLEX team put her car on a flatbed for towing. "The car is gone, I'm OK. My lungs hurt.
The car was on fire while I was driving it, and then the car dropped down and basically burst into flames," she said. The Acura NSX is a luxury two-seater, rear mid-engined, rear-wheel drive sports car by car manufacturer Honda. According to Angie, the car has been modified so she does not know what exactly happened to cause the incident.
She said many parts were also completely burned and the metal probably warped because of the flame's intensity. "There's nothing I can do. Car's gone and just gotta continue the day, and I don't know.
There's no way to rebuild it," she said. A post shared by Angie Mead King (@angiemeadking) —Jamil Santos/Carby Basina/MGP, GMA Integrated News.
