ANGELICA YULO – Carlos Yulo’s Mother, Angelica Yulo was invited to join in the Mrs. Philippines 2025 pageant. Angelica Yulo, the mother of two-time Olympic gymnast Carlos Yulo, has been invited to participate in the upcoming Mrs.
Philippines 2025 pageant. The invitation was extended by the pageant’s president, Erika Joy Santos, during a recent press conference. Based on a report from Inquirer, Santos expressed her desire to meet with Angelica Yulo and offered her support amidst the publicized family drama involving her and her son.
“I really wish to speak with her. Maybe I can be somehow a relief to her, kahit coffee lang (even just a cup of coffee)..
. She’s very welcome to be joining the Mrs. Philippines 2025.
Why not?” she remarked. The beauty queen and pageant organizer made it clear that while she is aware of the Yulo family’s ongoing issues, she does not wish to get involved in the conflict. She encouraged Angelica to remain patient and allow time and faith to heal the wounds within their family.
“Ms. Angelica Yulo, you have two more beautiful children. You have a beautiful family.
Time will heal so just be patient,” Santos said. “Mga nanay tayo. Hindi natin kayang tiisin ang ating mga anak.
(We’re mothers. We can’t stand not being with our kids.) In God’s time,” she said.
“I don’t know the facts. I don’t want my feelings to meddle with the ongoing feud with them,” she noted. Santos shared her own experiences as a mother, revealing how difficult it was when her own son moved away to live in Manila.
“You know how much I cried when my son went to live in Manila? I cried a lot for a month. It’s so hard to be separated from a child you delivered and raised into this world for so long. Then, aalis na (they’re leaving).
It’s really painful,” she recalled. “But you know, life must go on. Ganun talaga ang buhay.
(That’s life.) Someday, our children will be independent and be separated from us. So, maaga pa lang, tanggapin mo na.
(As early as now, you accept it.) But it’s still hard,” she continued. The Yulo family feud has captured the attention of many on social media.
The gymnast’s relationship with his girlfriend, Chloe San Juan, has also been thrust into the spotlight, with San Juan recently stating her intent to stand up for herself and her partner amid the tension with Carlos’ family. For her part, Santos, who was crowned Mrs. Philippines 2023, has remained focused on her pageant duties while offering her compassion and words of wisdom to fellow mothers like Angelica Yulo.
