Angelica Lopez is a total goddess in the national costume competition of the Miss International 2024 in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday! The Filipina beauty queen strutted the stage wearing a white and silver ensemble with a matching headdress embellished with crystals and pearls. The national costume, which is called "The Pearl of the Orient Seas," was designed by Filipino fashion designer Patrick Isorena. According to Angelica, the national costume symbolizes "Philippines' rich history and unparalleled beauty.

" "Made from thousands of meticulously placed pearls and crystals, it forms a breathtaking national costume that captures the essence of the Philippines," she said. The national costume does not only showcase the country's cultural legacy, but it also pays tribute to the centuries-old art of pearl diving that the Philippines is known for. "Each piece is hand-crafted with love, ensuring that the spirit of our ancestors shines through.

Every pearl tells a story, and this national costume, passed down through generations, represents a timeless connection to our heritage. Truly, a masterpiece of Patrick Isorena, Pearl of the Orient Seas!" Angelica said. Angelica flew to Japan in late October to compete in the Miss International pageant slated for November 12 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall.

In her Beauties for SDGs video , she advocated for the less fortunate children. Angelica won the Binibining Pilipinas International crown in May 2023. A post shared by Lopez Angelica (@angelicalopez.
