TV host Angela Scanlon was among a host of stars who attended Barretstown’s annual gala, which raised over €1.25 million for the charity. Held in the RDS in Dublin, Angela MC’d the night and was joined by stars including Dermot Kennedy , who performed on the night alongside kids from Barretstown, as well as RTE star Ray D’Arcy and Paul Newman’s daughter, Clea Newman.

Also there on the night was Irish designer Don O’Neill and his husband Paschal as well as rugby stars Shane Byrne and Tadgh Beirne and his wife Harriet. The Barretstown Gala aims to fundraise and raise awareness of Barretstown so it can expand its programmes to serve more children who suffer from serious illness and their families.

More than 1,000 distinguished guests gathered in the venue’s grand hall for an unforgettable evening, brimming with inspiring stories, star-studded moments, and a spectacular performance by Sister Sledge. Founded by the legendary Paul Newman, Barretstown has, over the past 30 years, welcomed over 125,000 children and their families to its magical .
