SIR Andy Murray has been given the go-ahead to carry out a series of renovations to create more rooms at his five-star hotel. The works include filling stair voids, creating access for maintenance and removing four non-load bearing partition walls. The plans for the hotel, which has just been named the best in Scotland, have now been given approval by the local authority after no objections were received. In a written report, planning officials said: "The proposal seeks changes that will allow for the introduction of new accommodation at first floor level and will remove access to a staircase at ground floor level within the Cromlix Hotel.
