This summer, I went to for two reasons: (1) Because it was my birthday (it’s okay if you forgot) and (2) to review some incredible hotels for this very magazine (more on that ). Because it was a special trip, I wanted to get there as comfortably as possible—especially considering it was a relatively and I wanted to arrive feeling at least mildly alive so we could hit the ground running. Therefore, my fiancé and I decided to fly from New York to London and back again in the airline’s cabin, which is basically their version of first class.
Now, I’ve stayed at the a few times and even took a a couple of years ago, and to say I’m a fan of the Richard Branson–owned empire would be an understatement. Everything they do is so fresh and fun, with quirky messaging, clean designs, and an emphasis on good food and drinks, which is very, important to me. I was excited to see what the brand could offer tens of thousands of feet in the air, and, well, I was not disappointed.
