The 53-year-old presenter admitted she was left “sobbing” as Keely Hodgkinson crossed the finish line. Watching the race live, she shared a clip with her 726,000 followers on Instagram .

The presenter captioned the story writing "sobbing" and placed a gold medal emoji. In the background of the video, you could hear lots of shouting and screaming in the background as she cheered on the 22-year-old. This is Keely’s first victory, which left her looking relieved in the moments after she had won.

In the lead-up to her triumph, she won three silver medals starting at Tokyo 2020. To celebrate her huge achievement, it was reported that the runner partied with her loved ones at the famous Moulin Rouge nightclub. In a later post on Zoe’s Instagram , she reshared a post which saw Jessica Ennis-Hill and Gabby Logan watching the athlete from the sideline.
