The 36-year-old High School Musical actor bought the bushland getaway near Byron Bay for $2million in 2020.

A development application has been made to build an off the grid 'zero waste' six-bedroom two-storey pad on the 128hectare spread for $2.685million. Efron's name was not on the application paperwork, which was lodged with the Tweed Shire council.

Instead, Joost Bakker, an environmental activist and friend of the star, was named on the documents as the 'proponent' of the DA. But Efron's name was still used as title holder on the property, reported the The Daily Telegraph on Thursday. Bakker, a former florist, is a well known environmental activist and designer and often features content related to sustainable housing on his frequent social media posts.

Efron's spread is located in rugged bushland near Tomewin, 25kms inland from well-known beach holiday spot Coolangatta and 75kms from Byron Bay. Hollywood star Zac Efron appears to making plans to build a 'sustainable' home on a property on the New South Wales north coast. The 3.
