Yvonne Denise (White) Townes, affectionately known as “MOM” passed away on Aug. 16, 2024, at the age of 62, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Born on Sept.
5, 1961, in Montgomery, Alabama, Yvonne was a beacon of love and dedication, profoundly touching the lives of her family, friends, and community. Yvonne’s journey from the halls of Hirsch Metro High School in Chicago to her influential military service as a 31K Combat Signaler in the Regular Army, where she served for nearly seven years, reaching the rank of Corporal, showcased her commitment and resilience. While serving in the military, she met her future husband, Anthony Townes and they married on June 14, 1993 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Following her honorable military career, Yvonne pursued her passion for beauty and real estate, graduating from Eves Beauty College, yet her heart remained with serving others.
