He previously revealed to NME that he's working on a Britpop-inspired concept album Yungblud has teased that his next album will release in early 2025 – find out what he had to say about the upcoming record below. In a new chat with The Osbournes’ Kelly and Sharon, the musician spoke about what he has planned for next year. He used the opportunity to hype up the record, which he revealed to NME earlier this year would be a Britpop-inspired concept album .

He expanded on the idea with The Osbournes, telling them: “The record we’re making at the minute is probably the closest to a rock opera we’ve ever done. So it’s made to be played start-to-finish, which is a really cool thing to do.” “The opening song’s nine-minutes,” he added, before Sharon Osbourne asked when it’s due out.

He replied: “Probably early next year, I would say. It’s a fucking big idea, so I want to get it right. I don’t want a shit rock opera.

You’ve got to fucking think big, it’s going to be cool.” The musician’s latest single, ‘Breakdown’ – which arrived in June – is expected to be part of the upcoming album. The Britpop flavours on ‘Breakdown’ were first hinted at in NME ’s interview with Yungblud back in March , when he described his next album as being made in “the North”, and representing “the light”.

“I’m 27 next and for a character like me it’s either death or rebirth,” he said. “This point has been amazing up to now. I’ll never lose.
