Malakai Revill, 17, had been felling trees in Dover, in Tasmania 's Far South, when he was struck by the tree branch just after 4pm on Sunday. Despite the efforts of police and paramedics, Malakai sadly died at the scene.
His father was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. A GoFundMe campaign organised by Joanne Denehey-Shreeve has raised over $5,000 to give Malakai the 'send-off he deserves'. She said the Revill family is going through an 'extremely hard time right now'.
