BABYMONSTER has been on fire ever since their debut. There’s only one complaint that the fans have — not being able to get enough of them! Due to YG Entertainment ‘s trademark promotional style, the girls have been gatekeeped from fans, leading fans to criticize the company. For their debut with “Batter Up,” the girls did not perform on music shows at all.

They uploaded a performance video. For “Sheesh,” the song was dropped on a Monday, which is not a popular choice for music releases. What’s more is that they only performed their first live show a week later.

The girls only performed on two shows, M!Countdown and Inkigayo . This seems to be a recurring tactic from the company as their comeback with “DRIP” faced the same complaints. The song was released at 1pm on a Friday.

The timing is not a popular one as people would be at school or work still. Their first music show appearance took place 9 days later. The girls do not often appear on live streams or variety shows as well.

Word also went around that the girls’ posts were limited on Weverse, possibly to continue this “mysterious image” type of promotion. Netizens called out the company for their outdated ways. It feels like they haven’t debuted yet.

.. I really like this album, but there’s nothing to watch as they’re not performing.

The girls are so obviously charming, but there’s no contents to watch. How can YG promote rookies in this way? There’s nothing left for celebrities who try t.
