Pune: The Yerawada Metro station on the Vanaz-Ramwadi route will open for commuters from Wednesday, almost five months after the services started on the stretch in March 2024. The Maha Metro on Tuesday announced that trains would stop at the station starting from Wednesday morning and would not have any effect on the existing time table. The safety inspections of the station were conducted a couple of weeks ago.

The station was kept closed for commuters to assist the work on its entry-exit points, after residents had raised objections fearing traffic chaos.
