After getting to know about Armaan and Ruhi's love story, Rohit Poddar decided to leave the Poddar house. He went missing and all thought he was no more. However, Rohit Poddar is back played by Romiit Raaj.

.' In an interview with Awesome TV, Romiit Raaj spoke about joining Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai midway and the challenges that came along. He stated that he is quite happy to work with Rajan Shahi again and it is a dream come true moment for him.
He mentioned that he is enjoying a lot by working with the best. When asked how did he react to being offered the role, he mentioned that it was on his birthday that he got to know about it and was very happy. He said that he is very grateful to Rajan Shahi for the same and he would not let him down.
Romiit was then asked about challenges that come along as he picked up the character midway. To this, he said that he was content knowing that Shivam Khajuria has left the show for good reasons and thus that made him happy. Though he had replaced someone, it is his responsibility to work with.
