Saturday, July 20, 2024 Tourists found themselves in a perilous situation off the coast of Marmaris, Turkey , when the yacht they were on caught fire. The vessel, named “Eagles,” burst into flames, forcing the 110 people on board to dive into the sea to escape the inferno. The Incident The tragic event unfolded as the “Eagles,” a 20-meter boat, was engulfed by a massive blaze.

Horrifying footage captured the moment the boat caught fire and showed it rapidly becoming consumed by the flames. The boat eventually sank into the ocean depths. Although the cause of the fire is currently unknown, there are allegations that it started in the engine room before spreading throughout the ship.

Immediate Aftermath Despite the terrifying situation, most of the 110 passengers managed to escape the lethal fire unscathed. However, seven individuals are receiving treatment in the hospital for unknown injuries, with three in critical condition. The police have arrested both the owner of the ship and its captain as part of the investigation.

Bystanders and nearby boats quickly responded to the crisis. Terrifying footage showed passengers swimming frantically away from the burning boat while other boats flocked to the area to assist in rescuing the tourists from the sea. The video also depicted huge flames snaking through the entirety of the boat, with thick plumes of smoke funneling into the air.
