Sid Vicious has passed away at 63 following a battle with cancer. Sid Vicious’ son, Gunnar Eudy, shared the news in a post on Facebook today. He says his father battled cancer for “several years.
” “He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed,” Gunnar Eudy said. “We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we grieve this loss. Details for a memorial service will be shared soon.
” Sid Vicious wrestled under a variety of names, including Sid Justice, Lord Humungous, and Sycho Sid, and took to the ring in 1987. He went on to join the WWE in 1991, wrestling alongside the likes of Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Ric Flair, and more. He remained a prominent face throughout the ‘90s and into the early 2000s until suffering a career-ending injury, which saw him landing on and breaking a leg mid-fight, resulting in one of the more infamous moments in wrestling history.
He rejoined the wring following his recovery but went on to retire in 2017.
