A woman has shared how she beats strict hand luggage rules - and it only costs £1..55.

Lisa Brown, 28, says she’s saved hundreds of pounds on "pricey" airline bag fees by sneaking an extra bag onto the plane. Lisa shared a video online that shows her buying a £1.45 bottle of water and a 10p carrier bag in duty free.

She then filled it with extras - saving her from paying for more baggage. The video, which has 2.9million views and 89,400 comments, shows Lisa walking through Stansted airport before a Ryanair flight to Lithuania and carrying her additional items through security in a separate bag - before transferring them into an airport shopping bag.

She told Luxury Travel Daily: “A lot of people don’t notice the signs and don’t know how to use it effectively to save money . I’ve been doing it for years, I’ve probably saved hundreds. "My favourite part is not having to wait for my bag at the end.

I do think the price of luggage can be pricey, on top of paying for the actual flight. I check in online and I have my extra things already separated in a bag when I’m going through security. "By checking in online, they only check your bags at the gate, which makes this method effective.

Additionally, you can save the bag for your next trip to save even more money. I’ve tried and tested this hack at London Stansted Airport, London Luton, and Gatwick." In the clip, Lisa points out a sign that reads ‘take two bags on board’ and states that one hand luggage and one.
