HOPEFUL jetsetters should follow this pre-flight "24-hour rule" before going on long haul flights. A woman has revealed that she always adheres to the advice to guarantee she has the ultimate flying experience. Abby Dunn, marketing manager at Ocean Florida, has picked up some tips after making 42 trips to Florida by plane, revealing her biggest piece of advice is to focus on hydration.

She told The Independent : "Try to follow the 24-hour rule – upping your water intake for 24 hours before and after your flight to prevent dehydration and water retention. "The best thing you can do to minimise bloating and ensure comfort is to hydrate yourself – not only before your flight but also once you make it to your hotel or holiday villa too."
