Vadodara: A woman killed her husband on Monday night with the help of her lover, in the city’s Mogulwada area. Fatema Hamza Tansuzala tried to pass off the murder of her husband Mohammed Hamza as natural death, but the postmortem report nailed her. Fatema and her boyfriend, Sahil Pathan were arrested on Wednesday.
Police said Fatema and Pathan were in a relationship for years. Hamza objected to their illicit relationship and the couple would have heated arguments on the issue. During an argument on Monday she decided to kill Hamza.
Police said she called Pathan home late that night when her husband was asleep. They held him down and strangled him. Fatema then took Hamza’s body to the hospital saying he didn’t wake up.
