" The travel fan urged people to keep their things in bum bags or crossbody bags to ensure they are always close by. She warns against keeping your phones out – especially when sitting at tables in restaurants. She explained: "People will come up all friendly," but their charm is all a guise.
She explained they sometimes show a drawing, or a map, and then would whip your phone away when you least expect it. Alexis had just seen someone fall victim to the scam, leaving them "so upset". So to combat the issue, she urges tourists to "grab their s*** and say no".
