The 55-year-old Academy Award winner — who earlier this summer made his first joint appearance with his estranged wife Jada Pinkett Smith since their separation was revealed — grinned ear to ear on the red carpet as he joined one of the evening's co-hosts, Antonio Banderas . Smith and the 63-year-old Pain And Glory actor were both dressed to the nines in contrasting tuxedoes. The Fresh Prince star was being feted as part of the Gala's efforts to raise funds, which are split between the Starlite Foundation — and the charities it supports — and the Lágrimas y Favores foundation, which Banderas founded.
The Gala was founded in 2010 by Sandra Garcia-Sanjuan — who was co-hosting the event — along with support from Banderas, Eva Longoria and Mario Bravo, according to the Gala's website, though Longoria and Bravo later left to start their own charity event.
