It highlights the production crew’s extensive world building, as they build multiple detailed and immersive large-scale sets in order to better showcase what’s like to be in the World of Oz. Based on Gregory Maguire’s bestselling novel and the Tony-winning stage musical, the Wicked movies are directed by Jon M. Chu from a screenplay written by the musical’s book writer Winnie Holzman.
The ensemble cast includes as Elphaba, as Glinda, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero Tigelaar, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz, Bowen Yang as Pfannee, Keala Settle as Miss Coddle, Marissa Bode as Nessarose Thropp, Bronwyn James as ShenShen, Ethan Slater as Boq, and more.
