It is no secret that Suffolk is home to a number of incredible villages that all have their own uniqueness, but here are some reasons you should visit this village. Dunwich, which is nestled on the coast between Sizewell and Southwold, is one of the county's best preserved villages. The village is also full of history as during the Middle Ages Dunwich had a busy port linking the county to the rest of the continent.

But here are some reasons why you should check out the village for yourself. The Ship in Dunwich is a great place to stop off at after a long stroll along the beach. The coastal pub boasts two AA Rosettes for its food offering, and has also achieved a four-star rating .
