This new service is expected to provide travelers with greater convenience, speed, and flexibility for their trips. The route is anticipated to benefit both business and leisure travelers alike, offering smoother travel options between the two cities.
The Inaugural Flight and Celebrations The inaugural flight for this new route, IX 1552, departed from Mangaluru at 6:40 am on February 1. It landed in Delhi at 9:35 am. On the same day, IX 2768 took off from Delhi at 6:40 am and arrived in Mangaluru at 9:35 am, marking the start of regular daily flights between the two cities.
To celebrate the launch, passengers aboard the first flight were welcomed with a water cannon salute at Mangaluru International Airport. This gesture was carried out by the Aerodrome Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) unit, which added to the festive atmosphere of the inaugural event. The maiden flight was a success, with 167 passengers traveling from Mangaluru to Delhi, and 144 passengers arriving in Mangaluru from Delhi.
