In his words, Murray-Bruce said, “The fact that Chidimma Adetshina is a Nigerian makes her qualified to be part of the delegates of the beauty contest. Also the fact that she was victimised just beacuse of her roots despite being born in South Africa. We cannot throw away anyone from Nigeria.

” Murray-Bruce also stated that though Miss Universe Nigeria auditions were already done before speaking to Miss Adetshina, the beauty pageant team considered the fact that she has done auditions with the Miss South Africa pageant. “We also had a few auditions with her and we are excited to welcome her home,” he said.
