he trailer of Dharmatic Entertainment’s starring Ananya Panday, was dropped on Tuesday at an event in Mumbai. The upcoming series, which will be available for streaming from September 6, will mark the debut of Panday in OTT series. Directed by Collin D’Cunha, the series is created by Ishita Moitra while Karan Johar has produced it under his banner, Dharmatic Entertainment.

Since the trailer was dropped, many appreciated Ananya’s performance. Karan too, at the launch event, called it her career’s best performance. Ahead of its release, we look at reasons why the trailer reminds us of Sonam Kapoor starrer which was released in 2010.

The most striking similarity between Aisha and Bella ‘Bae’ Chowdhary is their portrayal as the quintessential South Delhi girls who are born and brought up in luxury, and are unaware of others’ financial hardships. Both characters reflect on their privileged upbringing, especially Bae who flaunts her luxury cars, a private chopper, and other high-end luxuries. A standout aspect of Aisha that set it apart from other films was its impeccable fashion sense.

The leading character's wardrobe was a masterclass in elegance, with clothes that exuded refinement and poise. Similarly, Call Me Bae is a fashion-forward film, with Ananya's costumes looking like they were plucked straight from the shelves of a high-end fashion designer. The attention given to each costume is perfect which helps capture the affluent lifestyle of the characters.
