Dr Punam Krishan will be taking to the ballroom in this year's Strictly. This week, the 2024 Strictly Come Dancing line-up has been unveiled as celebrities from the entertainment and sporting world have been announced as the stars who will be taking to the dance floor this autumn. Those announced include Love Island's Tasha Ghouri, JLS star JB Gill, comedian Chris McCausland, opera singer Wynne Evans, 80s icon Toyah Willcox, TOWIE star Pete Wicks, singer Shayne Ward and actress Sarah Hadland.

Also in the line-up is Scots TV doctor, Dr Punam Krishan, who appears on BBC Morning Live and also BBC Radio Scotland. Sharing her excitement about her joining the line-up, she said: "This still doesn't feel real, I am overjoyed to be a contestant on this year's show. I have watched Strictly every year with my family and it feels extra special that it's the 20th year, I can't believe I will be the one getting Strictly-fied now.
