Photo: Getty Images Skinner had previously uploaded a video to YouTube criticising Biles and the USA Olympics team who clinched the gold medal in this year’s games, prompting a barrage of hate comments and even death threats from the public. “Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t like what it used to be,” Skinner had said in the since-deleted video.
Biles later clapped back after her team won gold. Posting a photo of the squad, her caption seemed to address Skinner’s comments. “Lack of talent, lazy, Olympic champions,” Biles wrote.
On August 7, Skinner shared a video on Instagram admitting to her mistakes. “To be totally clear, I take 100 per cent for poorly articulating the point I was trying to make. The last thing I wanted was to cause harm or offend our US Olympic Team.
