From 2010 to 2015 she moved between jobs as a lawyer and a journalist, keeping one foot in both fields until she finally entered the political sphere.
Karina became a media advisor for Senator Nick Xenophon in late 2015, working closely with the former lawyer until October 2016. From there, Karina became the Chief of Staff for Senator Skye Kakoschke-Moore until December 2017 when she went back to her roots as a journalist.
