A new reality show on Netflix will bring together musicians looking to form a new pop group, but there's a catch - they can't see their bandmates face-to-face. If that premise sounds familiar, it's because the talent show follows the same concept as the streamer's hit reality dating series Love Is Blind UK. The 'marriage experiment' show fronted by Matt and Emma Willis allows aspiring spouses to meet their potential matches behind a screen and form a relationship through their voices alone.

They are only revealed to their partner in the flesh once a proposal has been secured, before jetting off on a luxury holiday, meeting each other's friends and families and co-habiting to put their relationship through its paces before their wedding day takes place. The first series of Love Is Blind is currently streaming on Netflix , with the final two episodes released on the platform on August 21, followed by a reunion special on August 26. And now, Netflix has announced a similar series for fans of the show to enjoy.

This time however, would-be spouses are swapped for aspiring musicians. Building the Band's synopsis reads: "Featuring a group of uniquely talented singers, Building the Band takes face-to-face encounters out of the musical equation. Instead, the contestants will find their perfect bandmates based on compatibility, connection, and, most importantly, merit.

And when the bands finally do meet, how will looks, choreography, and style come into play? Expect plenty of drama, ne.
