New Delhi: Renowned actress Manisha Koirala is currently busy garnering appreciation from the fans for her exceptional acting in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s latest Netflix series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. A few days ago, the actress Koirala, in a recent interview with Filmfare, had a word on the struggle she faced during her early days in the entertainment industry while describing an infamous incident she hasn’t forgotten till now. Speaking to Filmfare, Manisha recalled going to a popular photographer with her mom for a photoshoot.

She narrated how the photographer initially showered her with praise but soon asked her to do something she wasn’t prepared for. As described by the year-old, the photographer, after praising her for a while, brought a set of bikinis for her & told her to wear them for the photoshoot. However, she clearly told him that she had no intention of getting into movies by resorting to such things.

“If this is the way I have to get into the movies, I don’t want it, and I am not wearing that,” the Heeramandi fame recalled telling the photographer. Continuing to speak on the incident, Manisha later revealed that her refusal to wear the bikini frustrated the photographer who then spoke to her & said, “ Jo mitti pighalne se sharmati ho uske murti kaise banaye.” (One can’t make an idol from a soil that is scared of melting).
