Earlier the actor had revealed that Malayalam cinema has been a part of his life. In the year 2017, during the ‘Vanamagan’ movie promotion event in Kerala, Jayam Ravi hailed Malayalam cinema.

He said that the Kerala audiences has good taste in cinema and loves Malayalam movies which he says to be a part of his own life. “ From Nedumudi Venu sir to Mohanlal sir, Thilakan sir, they are all a big inspiration for me. I respect all of their work and I have taken guidance from them,” said the actor.
