Manchester legends Oasis have announced a string of UK and Ireland reunion shows, with the Gallagher brothers seemingly having put their long-running feud to bed. The band has announced dates in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin for July next year, ending years of speculation over whether they would ever play together again. It's the moment Oasis fans have been waiting for ever since Noel walked away from the band in 2009, after a bust-up that finally signalled the end for the Britpop heroes.

When did Oasis form? Oasis formed in Manchester in 1991. The band initially comprised of Liam, bassist Paul McGuigan, guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs and drummer Tony McCarroll. The band played their first live gig at Manchester's Boardwalk club on August 14 the same year and Noel, who was working as a roadie for Inspiral Carpets at the time, went to watch them.
