9pm, BBC One A sequel to the stirring 2022 documentary series in which the former England captain and Top Gear presenter Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff introduced working-class boys in his hometown of Preston to the joys of cricket. This time, he takes his team, made up of teenagers from the city’s Broadfield Estate, on a tour to one of the most revered cricketing nations in the world – India. Originally planned to take place in 2022, the trip was put on hold after a life-changing accident (the one where he crashed his car on Top Gear , suffering serious facial injuries) that threatened to put a halt to the team’s dreams.

8pm, BBC One/ 8pm, ITV1 Let battle commence as ITV’s Cooking with the Stars finds itself up against a new series of Celebrity MasterChef . And you have to say the ITV show has far brighter stellar wattage than its BBC rival, whose first five contestants are reality show star Charlotte Crosby, presenter Edith Bowman , pop star Ian “H” Watkins and TV and radio presenters Craig Doyle and Snoochie Shy. Overseeing their efforts are John Torode and Gregg Wallace.

ITV’s offering, meanwhile, sees Abbey Clancy, Pasha Kovalev and Katherine Ryan creating their best date-night dishes for their partners – Peter Crouch, Rachel Riley and Bobby Kootstra. 9pm, Channel 4 A mum of three is rushed to St Mary’s with a femur fracture and broken knee after a car crash and 15-year-old Louie recovers from surgery to repair an artery in his leg after he kicked a glas.
