It's only been five weeks since his last release, but Channing Tatum is back as his latest movie Blink Twice releases in cinemas today. The actor plays Slater King, a billionaire tech mogul in the psychological thriller, who invites a cocktail waitress to a private island for a luxurious party. However, things soon take a turn for the worse when she wakes up and realises her friend is missing and things aren't what they seem.

Aside from the Step Up star, the film also features Naomi Ackie as Frida, Alia Shawkat as Jess, Christian Slater as Jess, Christian Slater as Vic and Simon Rex as Cody. Blink Twice premiered at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles on August 8, but is now out in cinemas worldwide for fans to watch themselves. It's been written and directed by actress and first-time director Zoe Kravitz and produced by Channing as well as Bruce Cohen, Tifanny Persons and Garret Levitz.

Amazon MGM Studios is distributing the film across the United States and Warner Bros. Pictures have stepped in for the worldwide release. It's so far opened to positive reviews from critics, with a 78% score on Rotten Tomato, with an average rating of 7/10.

The website's consensus reads: "A bold and memorable debut that thrusts Zoë Kravitz into the turf of directors to watch, Blink Twice is a live wire of a film." It's also got a 7.0 rating on IMDb out of 1,100 votes so far, so audiences seem to be enjoying the thriller already.
