After a colourful and energetic start to the series, it's officially time for a glittering week one of Strictly Come Dancing 2024. Fans of the BBC One dance contest were thrilled when the show returned with its pre-recorded launch show last weekend. But it's this Saturday (September 21) that viewers will see all 15 of the new Strictly couples perform together for the first time.

They will perform for the judges' comments and scores and scores but they won't receive votes from fans just year. The lines will open during week two of the competition next Saturday (September 28) with the first elimination of the 2024 run taking place on Sunday (September 29). There won't be a results show this weekend but fans will be able to get their Strictly fix every weeknight until week two of the competition with the return of Strictly spin-off It Takes Two which kicks off with Janette Manrara and Fleur East on Monday, September 23, at 6.30pm. And fans have been eager to find out what each couple's chosen performances will be.
