Veteran actor Mark Lewis Jones, known for his roles in both Welsh and international screen hits, is set to be honoured with the prestigious Sian Phillips Award at the upcoming Bafta Cymru Awards on October 20, 2024. The accolade is bestowed upon a Welsh individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the realms of film and television. Jones' illustrious career spans 38 years and includes performances in acclaimed Welsh dramas such as Stella, Keeping Faith, and Dal y Mellt the latter being the first Welsh language series to be featured on Netflix.

His talent has also shone through in globally recognised productions like the Star Wars franchise, Outlander, The Crown, Gangs of London, and Baby Reindeer. Additionally, he stars in the BBC drama Men Up, which has garnered six nominations at this year's Bafta Cymru Awards. You can read the full list of nominations here .
